About the production:
This story of Július Barč -Ivan about sibling rivalry, victims, forgiveness and reconciliation is one of the basic pillars of Slovak drama. We created our workmanship with subtlety and respect for the original text, and we emphasize acting work and emotional truth. Simple scenography, which emphasizes the purity of space, allows viewers to fully focus on acting performances. Music seems to be the voice of fate. In this production, classical theater aesthetics meets a deep testimony that appeals to human values and questions. So the mother is not only a story about the tragedy of one family, but also a metaphor about the constant efforts of a person to reconcile with himself, with her loved ones and the world. The theater for the leap gives this work a tribute to the Slovak drama and wants to offer the audience an experience that can resonate long after the lights go out.
