About event
The EPILITHIC LAND(E)SCAPES exhibition presents a series of drawings and paintings by the author Juraj Hubinski (*1986), exploring the motif of symbiosis – the balance between living and non-living, soft and solid material, but also the relationship between fine art and architecture.
He finds inspiration for one of the author's painting positions in the microcosm of lichens and epilithic organisms that overgrow stones, walls or trees and create organic colonies on inanimate surfaces.
The author uses frottage to transfer the structures and traces of natural things, but also man-made elements to the canvas and complements them with a tangle of bionic shapes that naturally grow on the canvas. His works are both an escape into the landscape and a visual record of the dialogue between the ornamental line and the gesture of aerosol, which together create a new form of symbiosis.
Curator: Alexandra Mutala
⏰ Vernissage: 13/11/2025 at 18:00
👀 The exhibition will be available at KKC Hviezda in the Gallery until 9/12. 2025.
