About event
Kafka and Schulz - the body as an epistemological metaphor of modernity
Bruno Schulz is often inaccurately called the "Polish Kafka". He has been carrying this label with him since the 60s of the 20th century, when the "Polish Kafka" was supposed to graduate Schulz as a new author across the sea and the ocean. Since then, "Polish Kafka" has shifted to "Kafka and Schulz" in the Anglo-Saxon area. Isn't it time to stop selling Schulz Kafka? If "Kafka and Schulz" have something in common, then it is the relationship to the body and physicality, as Blanka Činátlová reveals to us in her lecture.
