About event

A special, decelerated afternoon with a cocoa ceremony and mindful pottery. Start the year relaxed and design your clay mug!

The beginning of the year - often a time of many new resolutions, big plans followed by pressure & stress.

We decide to start the new year slowly and presently - with less head and more heart.

Together we consciously take an afternoon to pause and give ourselves a break from all the mental performance thinking.

Cocoa & Ceramics creates space to slow down for a few hours - physically and above all mentally, to be present in the here and now and to connect with yourself.

What awaits you:

  • 3 hours of time out from everyday life, an afternoon just for you
  • Meditation & mindful arrival
  • Cocoa ceremony with 100% ceremonial cocoa from Peru
  • Feel, shape, experience the material clay
  • Mindful, guided pottery of your individual ceramic pieces
  • Nourishing snacks and harmonizing tea
  • A quiet finale together

Experience a heart-opening cocoa ceremony with ceremonial cocoa from Peru with Anna, discover the material clay with Sarah under guidance, in mindfulness and shape your own cup for conscious enjoyment in everyday life. Who are we and why do we offer this?

Anna:

I love slow mornings, deep conversations, time offline, good food & deep connection with myself & others - I want to share this enthusiasm in my work.

Cocoa is came into my life during my trip to Sri Lanka. Before that, I only knew cocoa in the form of chocolate or drinking cocoa - highly processed and with a lot of sugar. Raw cocoa, on the other hand, is a true superfood and comes from South America, where it has been used as heart medicine in ceremonial settings for several centuries.

Cocoa helps me to get more into my heart & feel, to slow down and be present.

In my work, it is important to me to appreciate tradition and origins, to provide a safe and inclusive framework and space for all of you Facets.

Sarah:

I like to treat myself: delicious food, moments of relaxation, trying out new things - it's even nicer when I can share these things with loved ones.

Since my first pottery course 6 years ago, I have valued clay as a grounding, decelerating element, which immediately captivated me. For me, shaping clay with my hands is a wonderful, tactile balance to our predominantly digital world, which is increasingly characterized by speed and pressure to perform.

Pottery helps me to relax, switch off and forget everything around me - at least for a while. Pottery works best with calmness and slowness, and simple mindfulness exercises can help with this.

There are many pottery courses. I want to create a space in which you can simply shape, discover and try things out, without pressure or a rigid end result - true to the motto "the journey is the destination". :)
