Music language is written in a way that we learn to read with understanding according to the basic rules of musical theory. Many rules are often found in introductory texts and also in the foundations or schools how to play musical instruments. Like our verbal expression, the musical language is subject to some rhetorical rules, making this expression understandable and thus can move much more to our inner emotional world. Italian Baroque music of the beginning of the 18th century carries features of distinctive contrasts, typical idiomatic structures and extensive decorative passages. On the contrary, the French music of this period seems to be more fragile, softer with graceful small ornaments. These are two basic national musical styles, whose knowledge allows us to freely analyze all other derived national styles, such as mixed German, English, etc.


Violinist Felix Khuner, a member of the Vienna Kolisch Quartet from the beginning of the 20th century, said to his colleague, who asked him, "What you are talking about when you still say musical value. Felix replied, "Don't burden it. If you are not able to find it yourself, then let it go out of your head. You can live a perfectly nice life without bothering it - millions live. And then you change it - and then you will still look for it. ”
