We visit the residence of Jan Žizka with a distant view and Baroque jewel Ploskovice castle. At the end, a short stop in Litoměřice
PROGRAMME:
* Departure by express train from Prague, hl.n. at 6:47 a.m. (you can board in Holešovíce at 6:57 a.m., in Podbaba at 7:02 a.m., in Kralupy nad Vltavou at 7:19 a.m., in Roudnice nad Labem at 7:44 a.m., in Bohušovící nad Ohří at 7:52 a.m. If you will be arriving along the route, it must be indicated in the reservation form.
* 7:59 a.m. - departure by bus from Pod Kalich (8.44)
* 2 km ascent to Kalich and back - single entrance fee to the castle area 70 CZK, sale of tourist stamps
* Třebušín (village under Kalich), possibility of lunch
* 6 km route rather uphill from Kalich to Ploskovice Castle - Žižkov Trail of Castle Lands - this part can be covered by bus - suitable for those who do not want to walk so much or want to visit a nearby the ruins of the Virgin
* 14.00 - guided tour of the Ploskovice castle - entrance fee 220 CZK - adults, 180 CZK - children under 17
* 15.34 - train transfer to Litoměřice (15.42) - walk on Mírová nám., Litoměřický castle
* 17.44 - departure from Litoměřice with subsequent transfer in Lovosice
* 19.10 - arrival in Prague, capital city - possibility of ascent along the route

RUINS OF KALICH
The ruins of Kalich castle stand on the basalt hill of the same name (536 m above sea level). On the opposite hill stood the enemy Zikmund of Vartemberk, with whom Žižka fought for Kalich.
PLOSKOVICE CASTLE, referred to as the pearl of the Central Highlands, is a baroque jewel with unique artificial caves (grottos) and a vast park where peacocks roam freely Austrian emperor Ferdinand I. You will find grottoes in the basement of the castle with baroque fountains and sculptures. The 8-hectare park offers a pond, rare trees and wild peacocks. The castle is popular with filmmakers, where fairy tales such as The Nightingale and the Nightingale were filmed.
