About event

🗣 The Kapitalks discussion on the discussion stage of the SME newspaper will focus on the ways in which it is possible to build a more resilient society and show mutual support in today's era of polycrisis and uncertainty. Can communities or civil initiatives replace failing support systems?

⋆.˚🕊️⋆ Viktória Citráková will talk about horizontal aid structures, but also about how a generation that grew up in relative peace thinks about war. Richard Hronský will open the topic of artistic survival strategies at a time when grant schemes are threatened and working conditions in culture are fragile and unstable. Martina Kedrová will contribute with her many years of experience with activism and various forms of organizing from below, which are often based on determination and solidarity.

∼🖤∼ At a time when aid is repeatedly shifted to the shoulders of individuals and communities, we will discuss whether this model is sustainable in the long term. The discussion will be moderated by Eva Vozárová.
