Annotation of the lecture: John the Baptist on the island at the confluence of the Vltava and Sázava has been preserved to this day only a handful of codes dispersed in various collections. It is striking that many of them have gone through the hands of a single man, a certain "brother Martin". If we follow his footsteps, the (not) ordinary world of the Czech monk on the threshold of the Hussite period will open ahead. During the lecture, we will try to see at least as much from this world from this world as the sources allow us.
