Karel Roden: Kapitán Skvělouš | 16. 4. | Divadlo Palace

Man - Father - Superhero! Meet the world's most inconspicuous hero who fights villains, saves people and doesn't let children go to bed after dinner. A moving story full of inner strength, uplifting humor, but also sadness and questions about existence is a theater experience to swallow. In the award-winning play by Alistair McDowall, the popular actor Karel Roden will present himself, who will change into a shriveled cloak and use the power of his talent to seize a monologue bursting with invention. Embark with us on a unique ride through life that reminds us that even the invincible are not immune to tragedy. 🤣🦸💥🎭

At a time when men often seem to be seen as useless, a game about the everyday superhero is a touching story, even if it narrowly avoids sentimentality. His hero is Mark, an ordinary guy who makes a living by selling. One day he meets a woman and becomes the father of a daughter. Soon, however, he will have to step out of his shadow and become Captain Marvel, especially when his marriage begins to fall apart.
