Kateřina Stloukalová, Bitcoin in the era of quantum networks

On October 16, 2025 at 18:00, the Brno Observatory and Planetarium invite you to the lecture of Master Kateřina Stloukalová from the Department of Theoretical Physics of Innsbruck University called "Bitcoin
in the era of quantum networks". Superposition and entanglement to the formation of quantum networks. We will explain different types of qubites, introduce practical examples such as quantum teleportation or quantum key transmission (QKD), and show how quantum computers will affect the future of cryptocurrencies. You will learn why current systems such as Bitcoin can face new threats and how quantum networks can play a key role in protecting our finances and digital security. For the general public, it will take place in the hall of a large planetarium with a capacity of 189 seats. Admission is 150 CZK. You are all cordially invited 🙂
