About event
The comic illustrator, artist and author Katharina Greve presents her new comic book “My Stories of Mother and Daughter” - as a female answer to “Father and Son” by Erich Ohser alias e.o.plauen.
About the book:
Money is tight and going to a restaurant is a celebration. It's stupid when the arrogant waiter persistently ignores you. Mother and daughter don't back down and instead have a messenger deliver pizzas to the restaurant. The evening is saved - and the waiter is pretty angry.
From an inline skating accident to empowerment in the battle of the sexes - these are the challenges of modern everyday life that mother and daughter overcome in the comic short stories. Like their classic role models father and son by Erich Ohser alias e.o.plauen, the two solve problems with heart, creativity and a pinch of anarchy.
The short comics are completely wordless and therefore work across language barriers. Even the titles are small pictograms for barrier-free reading pleasure.
Katharina Greve, born in Hamburg in 1972, studied architecture at the TU Berlin. She lives in Berlin as a cartoonist, comic illustrator, artist and author. In addition to cartoons and comics for Titanic, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Neues Deutschland, DAS MAGAZIN and taz, Greve has published a solo cartoon volume and seven comic books.
