About event
A FAVORITE WANDERER GOES TO BANSKÁ BYSTRICA: ALSO WITH MIRO JAROŠ AND IMT SMILE
What would you say to Sunday, during which your children will become geologists, miners and treasure discoverers? That too awaits them at the Kaufland Children's Festival on July 5, where Banská Bystrica will turn into a paradise for little treasure hunters. And when the time comes to put down the pickaxes, Miro Jaroš and MT Smile will take over the baton.
Do you have children at home who bring home bags full of pebbles from every walk? And they can find treasures absolutely everywhere, even on the playground, in the forest, at the bottom of the pond or in the pocket of the jacket you just wanted to wash? Then be sure to take them to Banská Bystrica on Sunday, July 5, where there is no need to look for treasures. They will be at every step.
Kaufland Children's Festival, like every summer, once again sets off on a popular trip to the treasures of Slovakia. He continues his holiday journey with a second stop in the city made famous by copper. Yes, the copper that already made Banská Bystrica the most important mining center in Hungary in the Middle Ages, because the precious raw material was exported from here to all of Europe. Today, there is no more mining under Urpín, but during the first Sunday of July, the local Park under the SNP Museum will be transformed into a place where young and old alike will become explorers and treasure hunters. Will you join the great adventure expedition?
Looking for a treasure, not just one
How about your own copper jewelry? Or to the gold rush right in the city center, where you can pan for gold? Who knows, maybe right here your children will discover that, in addition to soccer players, princesses and YouTubers, there is also an interesting profession of miners or geologists. Because mining rocks, examining them under a microscope or hammering copper can be more fun than they thought. The youngest generations can go crazy in the large family zone, where Kaufík invites them to competitions from the invention of the world. And those who would starve during demanding activities will be saved by traditional regional delicacies prepared from K-Z products for the love of tradition. After all, every treasure hunt deserves a tasty stop, right?
Miro Jaroš and IMT SMile will spin it up
However, the biggest fun will not be hidden in a mine or underground. The real treasures are worth looking for right on the stage. Even those children's legs, which in the morning pretended to be very tired, make Smejko dance with Tanculienka. Cimbalkovo proves that Slovak songs still have a golden bottom, and Miro Jaroš, the darling of all generations, will spin it with the greatest hits that are known not only to children, but also to their parents. Even the concert version of the musical The Duchon's will resound throughout the park, and when the IMT Smile band appears on stage, the mining picks and hammers will go aside. They will be replaced by catchy choruses, which will be sung by young and old and will spread around the area faster than the once famous Bystrica copper across Europe.
A good dose of experiences
Many associate Banská Bystrica with the Slovak National Uprising, which also has its own museum here. This time, however, history will not be written in the Park under the SNP Museum, but the rare jewels of Slovakia will be sought. It will be filled with explorers, small miners and families, who are waiting for a lot of laughter and a good dose of fun. And since every proper expedition needs experienced guides, moderators Juraj Bača and Veronika Hatala will make sure that everyone gets as many experiences as possible here. After all, how many times does it happen that your children can wear a piece of jewelery in one day, have fun at attractive attractions and sing along with their favorite artist under the stage? At the Kaufland Children's Festival, you'll find it all together nicely.
Treasures to experience live and online
If you can't come to the event in person, nothing is lost. The popular summer wander, which Kaufland always invites you to for free, is also broadcast by TURBO TV online at www.destkyfest.sk, so whether you're near Urpín or on the other side of Slovakia, you won't miss out on the festival fun. Well, let's be honest, if good mood could really be mined, Banská Bystrica wouldn't be able to export it on July 5. So, are you more likely to catch the gold or the best spot under the podium?
