Therapist Adéla Klingelová from the League of Open Men (working with the perpetrators of violence) will arrive at the event Every third woman, which takes place within the framework of 16 action days against gender-based violence.
“One of the ways to help women and other people exposed to violence is to work with those who commit the violence. Without this work, violence cannot be effectively stopped. It's not just about solving violence in close relationships - participants in our programs learn to better perceive what's happening to them, name their emotions, stop violent behavior in time, and in addition, their attitudes and values change." - Adéla Klingelová
The lecture will focus on the deeper causes of violent behavior, such as anger, unresolved trauma or the influence of gender stereotypes. It will also include a presentation of therapeutic programs for people who commit violence or a look at the current situation in the Czech Republic and a reflection on where this issue is going in our country.
