About event
Mental health is a key element of the overall health of individuals and society. In 2023, 30% of pupils of the 9th year of elementary schools showed signs of anxiety and 40% medium to severe depression. In the adult population, the numbers are similar - in 2020 almost 30% of adults struggled with some mental illness, which corresponds to pan -European data that determine that 27% of working citizens suffer from stress, depression and anxiety. Mental problems are also the most common topic of seniors calling on the senior line. Moreover, this group of inhabitants often encounters downplaying their problems.
📣 Conference "When the mind screams: Do we listen enough?" It will take place on 21. 3. 2025 from 9:00 in Prague (Přítka Events, Pernerova 697/35, 186 00 Prague 8). Free registration at: https://bit.ly/duszdravi . The panels are divided according to age into blocks focused on students, working and seniors. The first one will focus on current topics in the field of mental health of pupils and students. In the second panel we look at the burnout syndrome or questions related to family relationships and raising children. The third panel guests will focus on the quality and availability of services provided to seniors, including their possible involvement in active social life. Institute of Mental Health
🟡 Panel I: Behind benches and screens - mental health of studying 🟡
Study can be a period of discovery and growth, but also stress, anxiety and pressure on performance. This panel will focus on the influences that affect the well -being of studying, from the stress associated with study demands through the combination of studies and work to the impact of social networks. The guests of this panel will also discuss how to support young people in finding strategies to establish balance and healthier access to study duties.
👉 Panelists: Neumann, crisis intervention, lecturer with vision. They bring many challenges for mental health workers. Social expectations, whether building a career, establishing families or election of life as such, can create stress and uncertainty. Criticism on social networks, which often creates distorted ideas about success, "suitable" lifestyle or "proper" raising children, only increases possible psychological pressure. The panel will focus on burnout, stress management and finding balance between work and personal life. How to protect yourself from negative influences and support your own mental well -being? Eliška Reimsova, psychotherapist, founder of the Institute interpersally Mental health of seniors. Lack of care, social isolation or loss of the possibility to participate in social activities can affect their mental well -being. This panel will focus on how to support seniors in maintaining active and dignified life, how to strengthen their social ties and fight against violence or neglect in care. The last panel guests will also discuss the possibilities of involvement of seniors in community life and the importance of empathy in care.
