About event
We gather again in front of the State Opera to protest against their decision to continue to provide a stage for Anna Netrebko - an artist whose well-documented connections to Putin's political environment have sparked public debate for years.

📍Staatsoper Unter den Linden
During While large Berlin cultural institutions repeatedly emphasize how important social responsibility and democratic values are, the State Opera still refuses any dialogue to this day. No statement, no willingness to listen - to the very citizens whose tax money makes this institution possible.
In a city where culture is understood as a public good and where transparency is expected from state-funded institutions, this silence is not a mere omission. It's a conscious decision to look away.
Our campaign will include a rave-inspired sound intervention designed by Liza Aikin. Berlin is a city where electronic music has been political for decades - and we make this tradition visible. Not as a contrast to classical music, which we value as part of a diverse cultural landscape, but as a reminder that music in Berlin has always been a means of political participation.
Rhythm, movement and shared presence were often tools with which people regained publicity when institutions did not react.
Culture does not belong to the committees that decide on programs, but to the people who create, enliven and critically accompany them.
We will not allow ourselves to be silenced and show: A public has many forms - and even more ways to become audible.
Come on, raise your voices in protest!
Because art is political, public institutions are accountable - and we will remain present until our concerns are no longer ignored.
