About event

Moderation: Sophia Spiliotis. A shocking inventory. About the casualness of anti-Semitism - a ruthless report of experiences.

The journalist Rafael Seligmann has written a stirring book. As a German and a Jew, the author, like a fine seismograph, records the social developments that have taken place in Germany over the past few years, especially after the attack on Israel by the terrorist organization Hamas. And they are serious enough. Seligmann reports on this in an inimitable style.

Almut Zilcher, born in Graz and trained at the Mozarteum Salzburg, was voted Actress of the Year by Theater Today in 1992 for her role in “Fräulein Julie”. She played at important stages such as the Deutsches Schauspielhaus and the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Volksbühne Berlin and at the Salzburg Festival and worked with influential directors such as Dimiter Gotscheff, Karin Beier, Michael Thalheimer and Hans Neuenfels. She has been a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater Berlin since 2006/07, where she was regularly seen in productions by Gotscheff. In 2011, together with Samuel Finzi, Wolfram Koch and Dimiter Gotscheff, she received the Theater Prize from the Preußische Seehandlung Foundation.

Susanne Sophia Spiliotis teaches European cultural and social history as a private lecturer at the University of Leipzig and works as a freelance speechwriter in Berlin. She was head of research at the German business foundation's initiative on forced labor compensation and worked in the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) from 2011 to 2014. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Remembrance, Responsibility and Future Foundation.
