About event
🎸 🎷 🎹 🥁 KEŽMARSK MUSIC AUTUMN: LUKÁŠ ŠNÁBEL QUARTET
We invite you to a high-quality jazz concert, which takes place on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the Municipal Cultural Center in Kežmark! 👏
🎼 Lukáš Šnábel is a jazz guitarist, pianist, singer and composer working in Slovakia and abroad. He collaborated with several jazz groups, such as Bigband of the Žilina Conservatory, with which he won the award of the absolute winner of the International Music Festival Česká Kamenice, and in which he performed with Petr Lip, Radovan Tarišek, Barbora Švidraňová and others. He studied jazz guitar at the Janáček Academy of Musical Arts in Brno under the direction of Matúš Jakabčić, Vilém Spilka and David Dorůžka, and at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague under the direction of Martijn van Iterson.
🎼 Lukáš Šnábel Quartet is an exceptional project combining modern author's work with quality jazz interpretation. Compositions inspired by the work of leading jazz artists with an overlap into contemporary jazz are a characteristic feature of the author himself, who was awarded the prize of the SOZA winner for author's work. This project also won the prize for an extremely convincing collective performance at the New Faces of Slovak Jazz 2022 competition and the main prize at the JAZZ START UP 2023 competition.
