The Hungarian-Bhutan documentary Dua Dua Aruna Bhattarai and Dorottya Zurbó is his phenomenon. The film analyzes the world phenomenon that has only been unique in one country in the world, Bhutan. We are talking about the term “index of gross national happiness”.

Amber, a middle -aged man who desires to marry and lives with his grandmother, works for a government who, nevertheless, refuses to grant him citizenship as he is a member of the Nepalese minority. Together with his relaxed colleague Gun Paradise, he works for the Center for Board of National Happiness, a government institution that has the task of collecting data on the happiness of citizens. And so they visit cities and picturesque mountain villages and talk to the locals about their satisfaction. Through the people they meet, we look into the Bhutanian society and its views of happiness in adversity.
The government hopes that research will confirm the position of Bhutan as one of the happiest countries of the world. Views of the privacy of the individual respondents and the ambeer himself, who longs for the family and takes care of the sick mother, but show that life in the Kingdom of Himalayo is not a fairy tale for all. What is hidden behind the numbers that are used to calculate gross national happiness?
