At the start of this year's season, KineDok invites its audience to an exceptional evening that combines a film experience with a debate and a personal meeting with Slovak director Peter Kerekes. 💫
The program starts at 18:00 in Vila Štvanice with an accompanying program and light refreshments. Even before the screening of the film It's in the Stars, which premiered at the International Venice Film Festival, there will be a debate from 19:00 on the film, documentary production and the themes that the film opens. The guests will be director Peter Kerekes and actress Kateřina Petrová. The discussion will be led by KineDok program manager Juliana Moska and coordinator Walter Nagy.

🌠 IT'S IN THE STARS (Peter Kerekes, 2025, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria)
A true documentary comedy from Italy directed by Slovak director Peter Kerekes follows the charismatic fortune teller Luciana, who uses esotericism to show people disappointed in love a new positive direction. He will calculate for them which destination is the most ideal for them for deeper self-knowledge.

Peter Kerekes
Slovak director and producer belonging to the most prominent personalities of contemporary documentary film. He is the author of the award-winning films 66 seasons, How history is cooked, Velvet terrorists or Baťa, the first globalist. His films have been shown at prestigious world festivals and won numerous international awards.
🟡 Kateřina Petrová
Since the age of 19, she has been involved in artistic activities - first acting, later dubbing and currently also directing dubbing. During her career, she worked in several theaters in Prague, among others in the Theater behind Gate II, the ABC Theater and the National Theatre. After completing a semester course in psychology and coaching at CTU in 2014, she also began to develop a counseling and therapeutic practice focused on working with cards. In his work, he is based on the belief that each person carries the answers to his life's questions, but often cannot get to them due to experienced patterns of behavior and fears. Through working with cards, she therefore tries to help clients discover these answers and better understand themselves.
🟡 Juliana Moska (moderator)
KineDok program manager. Graduate of the Department of Documentary Production at FAMU and Media Studies at the Metropolitan University of Prague. She worked at Czech Television and in the field of international film production and development of documentary projects.
🟡 Walter Nagy (moderator)
Coordinator of the KineDok project at the Documentary Film Institute. He has been dedicated to documentary production, festival distribution and international cooperation in the field of documentary film for a long time.

We are organizing the event together with the Bel Paese Italian language school. 🇮🇹
KineDok is a project of the Documentary Film Institute. The project is implemented with the financial support of Creative Europe MEDIA, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the State Audiovisual Fund and the City Hall. Prague.
Participating in the event gives the visitor permission to photograph and audio-visually record their person for promotional purposes of the KineDok project.
