About event
King Buzzo, the iconic leader of the Melvins, and Trevor Dunn, bassist of Mr. Bungle, are joining forces this fall for the European “King Dunn Tour”! They will be in concert on October 28 at La Maroquinerie in Paris!
Osborne and Dunn have collaborated together numerous times over the years: Dunn participated in King's "Gift of Sacrifice" album Buzzo in 2020, at the Melvins Lite project and both were members of Fantômas. For the "King Dunn Tour" acoustic tour, Dunn will play a stand-up bass, while Osborne will sing and play acoustic guitar.
"I've been waiting a LONG time to do an acoustic tour with Trevor," shares Buzz Osborne. "He's a fantastic musician who has the ability to make his bass sound like an oil tanker crashing into a coral reef."
____________
King Buzzo, aka Buzz Osborne is the singer, guitarist and founder of the now legendary group, the Melvins. An innovative author and composer, both lyrically and on guitar, he has influenced countless musicians and converted legions of music lovers into avid fans. Known for his innovative use of low-tuned strings, Buzzo skillfully fused his punk and metal influences, creating a revolutionary new sound in heavy music. Over the course of his long career, which began in 1983 in the small hamlet of Montesano, Washington, he has released more than 30 albums with the Melvins, two solo albums (Gift of Sacrifice in 2020 and This Machine Kills Artists in 2014), as well as as several collaborative projects, including Fantômas and Crystal Fairy.
Trevor Dunn is known to many for his work in Mr. Bungle, an eclectic and unpredictable Northern California band that he co- founded in 1985, but its career outside the group is just as notable. A member of Fantômas, Trevor Dunn's Trio-Convulsant, Tomahawk and Melvins Lite, Dunn has also written and composed for various music ensembles, performed alongside John Zorn and recently founded his own label Riverworm Records dedicated to "abandoned, forgotten and misunderstood.
