🎬 On the Blue Road
2025, 85 min, r. Gabriel Mascaro
In the near future of Brazil, the government orders the resettlement of elderly citizens into isolated colonies so that the younger generation can fully contribute to the economic productivity of the state. The main character, 77-year-old Tereza, refuses this fate
and decides to fulfill her lifelong dream - to fly an airplane.
He embarks on an illegal journey along the Amazon River, where he meets various people. They will help her discover a new perspective on life and freedom. The film combines a poetic-surrealist style with documentary realism, thus delivering a beautiful story
about aging, resistance to authority and the search for the meaning of life even in later life.
