About event
Siberia was and is mainly cinema! 📽
This time we project:
Rahčan - Ella is storm
(72 minutes)
Ella belongs to the nation of Samů, the indigenous population of northern Europe. At the same time, she is a pop star and activist who depends on the protection of Sami cultural heritage and Nordic ecosystems. When the Norwegian government issues permission in the area and the stunning fjord is threatened with toxic waste, Ella decides to act and stand in the leading rows of the protest movement. The only way to achieve mining is proven to be civil disobedience. A successful young musician becomes an activist seeking respect for the planet and nature and thus gets into conflict with the interests of mining companies. At the same time, the film framed by Sami electropop looks into the Sami community, the history of their forced assimilation, but also the will to preserve their traditions and its natural environment. Volunteer⚖️
We project the film thanks to the platform membership thanks to the platform also forgive you!
