About event
Siberia was and is mainly cinema! 📽
This time we project:
Life is not a competition, but I win
(79 minutes)
gender standards are also proposed to top sport. What bodies were historically excluded from the Olympic Games and other sports events and what bodies are pushed to the edge today?
The film opens these questions using novel artistic means. The narrative is performed by a group of athletes*athletes who travel in time, entering archive footage and encountering important abnormal runners and athletes from the last century, which history has forgotten. Gradually, parallels between their situations and the current discrimination of transgender athletes or the many rates of women in sport in general. The group accompanying the film offers a utopian alternative - forms a collective body that finds strength in conjunction and cooperation. This power is illustrated by the stylization of collective scenes and energetic music in the introduction and end of the film. Thanks to the platform, forgive you! In Siberia there is a cold in the summer without my ecological footprint over the air conditioning ... 💅
