Kino: VLNY

The Prague 6 Children's and Youth Center and the Věra Čáslavská Kindergarten and Elementary School invite you to a screening of the film VLNY under the auspices of Mariana Čapková, Deputy Mayor of the Prague 6 Municipal Council.

The period film Waves directed by Jiří Mádl will show the exciting and so far secret stories of Czechoslovak Radio journalists. At the end of the 1960s, when rock and roll was playing on the radio waves and student revolts were changing the world, the older of the brothers joined the prestigious radio editorial office. He soon finds himself in a dangerous battle between editors and the secret services. In the whirlwind of events, soon everyone's life will be at stake, and the protagonist is faced with a harsh choice: to protect his brother, or the truth and his colleagues? The film is inspired by the true story of a group of journalists from the international editorial office of Czechoslovak Radio and their determination to bring independent news at any cost (Bontonfilm). The film is unsuitable for youth under the age of 12.
