YES - we are celebrating our 1-year birthday.

A year ago, on January 9th, 2025, our Kirtan journey together began - without knowing where it would take us. What followed was movement, encounter and memory - from the open sky of the outdoor kirtans 🌳 to the mantra boat 🚤 to the silence of the Church of Galilee ⛪.

From all of this grew something larger than an event: a community, a family, a quiet, powerful knowledge: “This is WE.” 💛

Our voices remember us. They connect us. They open to us.

On January 9th, 2026 we invite you ALL to the one-year Kirtan Family Birthday Party 🎉 an evening that takes us into a held, ceremonial space.

About Norema Pauw & the Kirtan Family Band:

Norema Pauw is a mantra singer and systemic coach. Her spiritual journey began at the age of 19 when she attended a four-week ashram and completed her first yoga teacher training. She later deepened her practice in Mysore, India, where she experienced firsthand the depth of yogic tradition and meditation.

Mantras entered her life early, but it took time for her to fully integrate them. It wasn't until Norema began combining harmonium and her voice in her own practice that she realized she had found her path. By chanting the mantras, she not only learned to direct her own energy, but also to open spaces for healing, presence and connection - both for herself and for others.

Today, Norema accompanies people on their own spiritual journey, inspiring them to pause, breathe deeply and experience the healing power of the mantras. Together with the Kirtan Family Band she organizes monthly kirtans in Berlin.

The band, consisting of the seven talented musicians Andreas Grotekemper, Felix Leela Arun, Felix Wallerrand, Joachim Dicks, Kay-Peter Recher and Sabrishnu, together weaves a sound space in which silence, joy and transformation become possible. Every tone, every voice contributes to the participants feeling supported, connected and open.
