About event
Multi-point meditation is an effective meditation technique especially suitable for the mind of a person in the 21st century overloaded with perceptions and information.
Multi-point meditation consists of:
• mudra (position of palms, fingers),
• mantra (recitation, chant),
• drsti (eye focus),
• pranayama (breathing pattern).
Thanks to this, the mind can also bring an ordinary person into a meditative state, which is manifested by an improvement in mood and inner relaxation.
Kirtan kriya is a prime example of multi-point meditation. Includes finger movement, singing, eye focus, visualization. It is also demonstrably effective from a medical point of view (Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, PTSD*). Overall, it calms the nervous system.
Effects of kirtan kriya (12 minutes):
• increased blood flow in the brain (supporting thinking),
• improved blood flow to the posterior cingulate gyrus (improving memory),
• increased activity in the frontal lobe (sharpened attention, concentration and focus),
• increased levels of neurotransmitters, acetylcholine, norepinephrine and of dopamine (improved brain functioning),
• increased energy levels, improved sleep quality, reduced stress (reduced cortisol levels),
• improved short- and long-term mental health and spiritual well-being.
On Saturday, we will treat ourselves to a 30-minute version of this meditation.
