About event
The second concert of this year's Klang Systematiek series will present the works of two Italian composers: Io, Frammento gave Prometeo Luigi Non and Achab II Nicoly Sani. Both concerts are conceived as an immersive experience - the audience will be surrounded by an eight -channel system, and musicians in the middle of the audience. He was born in 1924 in Venice, attended rights in Padua attended summer courses in Darmstadt, thanks to which he knew with other prominent personalities of post -war new music. From the serious emphasis on instrumental work, he has moved to his emphasis on vocal compositions with texts reflecting contemporary political themes. He sought the synthesis of the abstract musical language of the avant -garde of the fifties with a clear emotional, ethical, and often left -wing and anti -fascist statements. Since the late 1970s, the composer's style has changed significantly. The songs are quieter, slower, with a stable group of instrumentalists looking for new sounds with the help of extended techniques and electronic sound processing in real time in the WDR (West German radio) studio in Freiburg. The musical language of the last decade of the composer's life can be summarized as a virtuosity of unstable sound on the verge of audibility, reinforced and often transformed by electronic means. At the beginning of this period, more precisely from 1981, the composition for the choir and vocal and instrumental solos comes: Io, Frammento gave Prometeo . As the name suggests, it is a fragment of the monumental opera Prometeo (listed in the Czech premiere on New Opera in Ostrava in 2022), which Non completed three years later, and was described by Belgian critic Stefan Beyst as one of the largest compositions of the last century. io, framento Dal Prometeo is a compact insight into the sound world Prometea . The choir party will be occupied by members of the Canticum Ostrava choir. Daniel Havel will play on the flute and the double bass clarinet Gareth Davis. The electronic component will be in charge of Alvis Vidolin, the leading Italian electroacoustic music expert will be followed. Sani is a distinctive personality of contemporary Italian music. In the past, the art director of Teatro Dell’oper di Roma, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, was chaired by Fondazione Isabella Scelsi, is a member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Archivio Luigi Nono Di Venezia and has been leading Accademia Chigian Di Siena for ten years. He studied composition at Domenica Guaccer, Giogia Nottoli, and later Karlheinz Stockhausen. His compositional work affects other artistic disciplines, especially video art, painting and architecture. He writes instrumental works, music for musical and dance. It focuses on electronic music, which is perceived as an enlargement of music, wrote an essential book Musica Espansa ("extended music") for the Italian scene. or on social networks @klangfieldmusic.
