About event

English Below

International ensemble Klang Systematiek presents its first concert series in the evening dedicated to the music of the most famous American minimalists Philip Glass and Steve Reich. The concert will take place on Friday 26th September in the multifunctional hall of DOX+. Each of the four microphones is suspended from the ceiling above the speaker, in which its output is connected. The composition begins with their simultaneous opening. Every oscillation directly above the speaker, feedback will sound, the initial appearance of regularity is gradually disrupted, when the originally imperceptible differences in the length of the oscillation of individual microphones-sins begin to manifest and from the one-sided idea a chaotic system is born. The composition ends when all microphones lose kinetic energy, the movement practically stops, and the intermittent tones become a continuous hoot. This 1970 composition, written for eight votes without given instrumentation, is one of the pillars of minimalism. On the seventeen pages described by eight -mounted notes without Pomlk, repetitive figures are developing in two to eight parallel voices. The number of repetitions of each figure is not intended by the composer and in some places it is possible to play long tones. At first glance, the austere composition offers a varied range of sound options.

Music of the Most Famous American minimalists Philip Glass and Steve Reich. The Concert Will Take Place on Friday, September 26 in Dox+. EACH OF OUR Microphones is suspended from the ceiling above and speaker into which its output is connected. The Piece Begins When the Microphones are set into Motion, Swinging Above The Speakers. Each oscillation produces Loud Feedback Sound for A Short While Before the Pendulum-Microphone Swings Past The Speaker to the Other Side. The Process Seems Regular At First, But It Is Gradually Disrupted When Original Imperceptible Differences in the Oscillation Length of Individual Pendulums Begin to Unfold and A Chaotic System is Born Out of A Simple Process. The Piece Ends When All Microphones Lose Most of Their Kinetic Energy, Movement Practical Stops and Interrupted Tones Turn to Continuous Humming.
This 1970 Composition, Written for Eight Voices with Open Instrumentation, Is One of the Pillars of Minimalism. Repetitive Figures Develop Over Seventeen Pages Filled With Eighth Notes without RESTS, in Two to Eight Parallel Voices. The Number of Repetitions of Individual Figures is Not Determined By the Composer and in Some Places It Is Possible to Play Additional Long Tones. Just Like With Penduulum Music - What May Seem Auster and Predictable at First Offers and Wide Range of Sonic Possibilities.
