in This year the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the Chopin competition, one of the most important piano competitions in the world. On this occasion we invite you to a unique concert on September 29, 2025, with ... cellists. The Polish Cello Quartet (PCQ) will present pieces from the album Chopin Project in the message of the Republic of Poland. The Chopin Project is an innovative project presented by the transcriptions of works by Fryderyk Chopins by Sabina Meck, Piotr Moss and Leszek Kołodziejski. The unusual line -up with four Celli underlines the special role of this instrument in the work of the composer. The arrangements not only offer a new sound, but are also a homage to Chopins Fascination for the cello.
The Polish Cello Quartet (PCQ) was founded in 2011 on the initiative of Tomasz, Wojciech Fudala, Krzysztof Karpeta and Adam Krzeszowiec - four outstanding Polish cellists. The artists decided to establish this unique chamber ensemble to bring a wider audience closer to the original sound of a cellovartet. They have been under the patronage of the Witold-Lutosławski-National Music forum in Wrocław (Narodowe Forum Muzyki) since 2014.
The quartet is one of the most dynamic Polish chamber ensembles and regularly appears in Poland, Europe and worldwide at the most important music festivals (including Cello Biënnale Amsterdam, Festival Internacional Cervantino in Mexico, Eckelshausen Music Days). href = "https://www.nfm.wroclaw.pl/en/polish-cello quartet"> https://www.nfm.wroclaw.pl/en/ensembles/polish-cello-quartet Location: message of the republic 70, 10117 Berlin
