About event
The Swiss duo Klaus Johann Grobe has been making danceable Krautrock since 2012, influenced by '80s New York punk funk. Accompanied by beats with synths, chant-like vocals and a funky bass, they clearly focused on the more danceable branch of Kraut music. The result is a fresh take on the groundbreaking sound that emerged from West Germany in the 1970s. After a 6-year break, the duo is back with a brand new album. "Lo tu il loro" was shot in 2 weeks in a hut in a remote Swiss valley. What started as a renewed attempt to make some music quickly culminated in the production of an album. It is an album with a vague vision and soft boundaries. In the album you feel how the duo looks back nostalgically on the previous albums but continues with what feels good with a new vision.
In Cinetol they present the album of nine tracks with an atmosphere of embracing warmth, so melancholicly inviting that you don't know whether to laugh or cry. You can call it timeless, you can call it dad rock. In any case, it is certainly not a disco for the masses.
