We cordially invite you to the XII. year of the Piano Marathon, which we implement as part of the Students Meet Professionals project.
I. part of the Piano Marathon 2026 takes place on March 10 - 11, 2026. Within the I part, educational events primarily intended for secondary school students and teachers of primary and secondary schools are implemented.
In addition, within the first part of the Piano Marathon, a competition parade of ZUŠ pupils takes place - Children's Piano Marathon.
Venue: Concert Hall of the Church Conservatory in Bratislava.

"Musical activities for developing brain hemispheres"
9.00 - 11.00 a.m. seminar and interactive workshop, which will take place in cooperation with the international music-educational program SUPERAR SLOVAKIA.
The seminar is intended for elementary school music teachers and ZUŠ teachers who, after completing this seminar, will receive a certificate of completion as part of teacher update training.
Annotation: At the joint meeting, we will practically show how we can effectively use musical activities to connect and cooperate with both brain hemispheres. We can use these activities in a wide spectrum of the educational process.

"Children's piano marathon"
3 p.m. competition show for children of elementary art schools
The children's piano marathon is one of the extremely successful activities of the project every year. It is attended by dozens of children and teachers, lay and professional public.
· The central theme of the Children's Piano Marathon is classical music of the 20th and 21st centuries, mainly Slovak, but valuable works of world piano literature are also accepted.
· Original compositions written by the pupils themselves are welcome, and they will be awarded a Special Prize for their own work
· Also this year, the Prize for Interpretation will be awarded - for exceptional performance. All contestants will be placed in the gold, silver or bronze band and will receive a diploma.
· This year, the Albert Mamriev Special Prize will be awarded to an exceptionally talented participant in the pageant. The prize will be an individual consultation with the lecturer during the Piano Master Courses on March 12-19, 2026 at the Church Conservatory in Bratislava.

"General bass/Basso continuo"
9.00-11.00 seminar and creative workshop with lecturer Mgr. Agnes Ferienčíková, who will theoretically and practically bring us closer to the issues of accompaniment practice typical of the Baroque period and explain the principles of numbered bass. Active participants will also be able to practically try out general bass accompaniment.
The project takes place with the financial support of the Music Fund.
