Harry Potter is an orphan and lives with his only relatives, the Dursleys. They really only take care of him out of duty, and they would prefer if Harry could go away. Their wish will come true when little Harry turns 11. This is the age when compulsory school attendance at Hogwarts High School of Witchcraft and Wizardry begins - letters start coming to Harry, which are ignored by his uncle and aunt, he is visited by the friendly halfling Hagrid, and on his recommendation he gets to Hogwarts, where he experiences the greatest adventures of his life together with his two new friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
