“It will turn the world of sea lions into a safe place,
where we will be comfortable, warm and sure.”
“The song is about you, Kotík!”
Kotík is the only living white sea lion. His species is threatened by greedy people who kill sea lions just for their skin. Therefore, he decides to take the fate of all sea lion species in his fins. He explores the sea world and searches for a free land for sea lions, where no humans can ever reach. A place where nature rules.
The production adapts the short story from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling The White Sea Lion.
The audience goes through the story, they can participate, act and together with the main character, the white sea lion Kotík, to discover the depth of the sea, freedom and perhaps even life itself.
The entire production is conceived very visually, so you will have throughout the performance you feel that you are really sitting on a sea beach, swimming through the sea, fighting with sharks and following manatees around the cliffs and under the surface.
Director: Juliána Vališková
Scenography: Andrea Hurych
Music: Matěj Záhořík
Played by: Matouš Adam, Jakub-Vladislav Štrejn, Tereza Sikorová, Iveta Kocifajová
