About event
📚 Book club of a new format: lecture and discussion of Bernhard Schlink’s novel “Granddaughter”
⏰ November 29 at 16:00
📍MNOGOKNIG Bookstore, Friedrichstraße 176–179
This time we are reading Bernhard Schlink’s novel “Granddaughter” - a story about love, guilt and an attempt to reconcile the past with the present. The action takes place in Germany, including Berlin, a city where every stone holds its own memory, and the past is always nearby.
In the beginning there will be a short lecture about the author, his biography and the most famous books (including “The Reader”), in order to better understand where this text grows from and what moral questions it asks.
And then, as always, we will discuss the novel itself.
❗️This is not just a book club, and space for thoughtful reading and meaningful dialogue.
The number of places is limited
💬 Format - donation-based: you choose the amount yourself if the lecture and meeting resonate with you.
