About event
Visit us on the occasion of the pre-Christmas colloquium of the dance department. This year's edition is entitled "Selected approaches in the education of a dance professional: old and new paths - new qualities".
The colloquium will take place on Monday 16.12. 2024 from 8:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Malostranské náměstí in the Hartigovské palác in the premises of the HAMU dance department in the Black Hall H1041.
This will be followed by an informal discussion of all participants. Outsiders and our graduates are also cordially invited.
PROGRAMME:
1. block – Presentation of individual approaches. Moderated by prof. Dorota Gremlicová, Ph.D.
• Tereza Krupičková: Progressing Ballet Technique.
• Patrik Čermák: Ido Portal Method – use in contemporary dance training.
• Silvia Orfánusová: Basic principles of jazz dance. Jazz dance in the Czech context.
• Mirka Eliášová: Immediate composition, improvisation as a stage form. Presentation of long-term research.
• Martina Hajdyla Lacová: Use of the Alexander technique in dance. (online)
2. block - Common discussion. Advantages and disadvantages of the newly compiled dance training schedule. Discussion of the presented approaches. Hosted by MgA. M.Sc. Andrea Opavská, Ph.D., M.Sc. Helena Arenbergerová. (Intended primarily for students of the department. Guest participation is possible.)
• New schedule concept: From the point of view of study organization, does the new concept suit students and teachers of MST and other specializations or not?
• Teaching fulfillment: What skills are they acquired, deepened? On the other hand, what is neglected? What other workshops (methods, styles, techniques) would be welcome during the studies?
For those interested who cannot participate in the discussion, it is possible to send questions about the topic via the SLIDO platform. (Slido - Audience Interaction Made Easy; Code#: 2667412) The link is available from Tuesday 12/9! Depending on the time available, your questions will be presented during the discussion.
The event is only in Czech. Entry is free.
Since the beautiful December date encourages us to do so, we will use the event to get into the pre-Christmas atmosphere. If you want to show off your candy samples or a premium piece from your Christmas-themed wardrobe, you can't go wrong. A small snack will also be prepared for you. A cup and maybe even a snack box will definitely come in handy.
