Location: Palackého 37 (in front of the hotel Elizabeth) The book of the same name, which was published last year, offers a practical overview of the development of architecture in the last century, which turned Trenčín from a small town to the present form of the center of central Považie. We will walk through the center, in the footsteps of the new architecture of interwar functional function to the monuments of late modernism. The author will guide us through the guide, architect Martin Zaiček, who is devoted to research and promotion of the architectural heritage of the 20th century in Slovakia. He is a member of the Docomomo and the art group abandoned (RE) creation. He has long been involved in the development of Slovak spa architecture between 1948-1989. He is a co -author of the publication OFF Season dedicated to the Machnáč Healing House in Trenčianske Teplice.
Walking C20: The Trenčín architecture guide is the activity of the Modern 2.0 project, which is part of Trenčín 2026. Trenčín 2026 financially support the city of Trenčín, Trenčín self -governing region and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The partner is the European Union.
