Jarmila Sabová Džuppová (*1984) entered the art scene as a distinctive solitaire. Very soon she developed her own artistic language, based on strong colors and a specific handwriting following expressive or primitivist artistic tendencies or children's drawings. Since her early works, she has been characterized by an insider's view, a concentration on topics closely related to her own inner experience of the surrounding world and situations in it. The subjects of her works are related to their emotional charge and personal symbolism, with which she continuously works.

The author graduated from the Faculty of Arts of TU in Košice in the Studio of Graphics and Experimental Creation under the guidance of Zbyňek Prokop and Rudolf Sikora. In 2008 and 2018, she was a finalist of the VÚB Foundation award, in 2009 a finalist of the prestigious Oskar Čepan award. In 2010, she won second and 2018 third place in the Painting of the Year competition. Sabová is one of the outstanding personalities of contemporary Slovak painting. She presented her work at a solo exhibition in Levoča (2020) or in the City Gallery in Rimavská Sobota (2006) as well as at collective exhibitions in several Slovak galleries. Her paintings were also presented abroad; among others in London, Berlin or the Czech Republic.

Jarmila Mitríková (*1986) began studying at the VŠVU in the ceramics studio doc. Ivica Vidrová and continued in the painting studio of prof. Ivan Csudaia, which she successfully completed in 2011. Mitríková works in painting and ceramics, in 2010 she was a finalist in the Painting of the Year. She completed a study stay at the Academy of Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland.

In his work, he is inspired by the colors of small towns, the atmosphere of recreation centers, visuals from postcards, local travelogues or pilgrimage attractions. Her paintings often have a mysterious and surreal touch with irony and sarcasm.
