Komentovaná prehliadka s kurátorkou: Výstava Jozef Srna / Aby bolo viac svetla

Jozef Srna (1930 - 1992) painted quietly all his life, in the seclusion of the studio in Karlova Ves. It was not until the 1980s that his works began to be light - and the last decade of his work (1982 - 1992) is dedicated to the current exhibition to make more light in the curatorial concept of Nina Gažovičová. However, Nina will also introduce us to later compositions, capturing the atmosphere of the falling regime - the year 1989 brought hope and euphoria, but the deer also saw rapid sobering: disillusionment, language without content and new forms of polarization. In his paintings, dictionaries appear as symbols of emptied words, slogans and irony, reflecting the chaos of the 1990s and the onset of Meciarism. But his paintings are the exact chronicle of the time - dim, empathetic, civil. And that makes her experience that it is worth to hear and see. The partner of the project is Nehera.
