Komentovaná prehliadka výstavy Tradícia netradične: Ľan a konopa

We invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition Tradition unconventionally: Flax and hemp and a lecture by curator Ingrid Ondrejičková on the process of growing and processing useful field plants on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the ÚĽUV Gallery at Obchodná 64 in Bratislava.

Flax and hemp were important raw materials in the past that were used for the production of textiles in today's Slovakia. Due to their unique properties, they became sought-after and later abundantly cultivated materials. The lecture will present the entire process of growing and processing these natural materials. It will focus on specific signs, characteristic features and present individual textile techniques, which are represented by the exhibited exhibits at the exhibition.
