About event
Baba - functionalism unique in the world
Functionalist Baba is truly unique in the world. Although several generations of architects participated in the construction, although the houses are of different sizes and equipped, they give the impression of unity, elegance and exceptionality. Originally, most of the houses were accessible to the public after completion as an example of modern
housing. The builders were cultural figures - painter Cyril Bouda, architect Pavel Janák, graphic designer and designer Ladislav Sutnar, textile artist Emilie Paličková-Mildeová, as well as high-ranking civil servants - department heads of ministries Spíšek, Maule, Zaorálek and diplomat Lužný, so we will also talk about the lives of these personalities.
Meeting on October 19 at 2 p.m. at the U Matěje stop.
Guide Hedvika Čenková. FREE entry.
