Nineties in Ostrava? That was one big change.
In addition to societal events influenced by the transformation of this once purely industrial region, one of the most significant locally cultural centers was created at that time.
A group of artists, who still stood at the core of a peculiar alternative subculture in the late 1980s, began studying at the Prague Academy with the advent of the new decade, but also to teach at the newly formed university in the center of the region. Their work attracted the attention of outstanding curators and curators, which resulted in a number of domestic and foreign exhibition projects. New personalities began to flow into the region, while others were leaving and the ties to the home town maintained with different degrees of intensity.
