Komentovaná prohlídka ateliéru Janouškových

Surrounded by forest, the Brussels-style sculpture studio designed by Vladimír Janoušek and rebuilt according to the design of Alena Šrámková for housing needs is open to the public and presents a permanent exhibition dedicated to the work of Věra and Vladimír Janoušková. The studio of Mr. and Mrs. Janoušková, which later served as Mrs. Věra's permanent residence, is located in Prague's Košířy in U Kotlářky Street at the foot of the natural monument Skalka. The artists built the house with their own help in the beginning of the 1960s in places where horticulture operated during the First Republic. The plans were drawn up according to Janousek's design by the architect Josef Hrubý, one of the authors of the Czechoslovak pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels. The house now houses a permanent exhibition of sculptural works by Vladimír and Věra Janoušková, whose monumental sculptural realizations are installed in the garden of the house.
