Leonardo Bigazzi
Leonardo Bigazzi is a curator and producer of art films operating in Florence. He is curator of Fondazione in Between Art Film (2020 - Dosud). He participated in Penumbra and Nebula exhibitions in Biannale Arte 2022 and 2024, as well as Ali Cherri: Dreamless Night in Gamec, Bergam and Frac Bretagne in Rennes. He is also curator Lo Schermo dell‘arte in Florence (2008 - Dosud) and the founder and curator of Visio - European Program on Artists ‘Moving Images (2012 - Dosud). He was also one of the directors of Feature Expanded (2015–18) he founded. As part of Lo Schermo Dell‘arte, he collaborated on projects with artists Rosa Barba, Omer Fast, Hassan Khan, Hiroshim Sugimot and Hito Steyerl. He was also a curator of exhibitions and film programs in Paul Klee Zentrum in Bern, Fundació Antoni Tàpies in Barcelona, Palazzo Grassi-Pinault Collection in Venice, Maxxi Museum in Rome and Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. He initiated or produced more than forty art films that presented themselves to the public in Tate, London, Museum of Modern Art and Moma PS1 in New York, Pompidou in Paris, Biannale Arte in Venice and Manifesta. Machine Boys by Karimah Ashad, who produced, won a silver lion for a promising young artist at Biannale Arte 2024 in Venice. He is an editor and co -author of several publications and has prepared a recently published book Visio - Moving Images in Europe Since the 2010s.
