Komentovaná prohlídka výstavy Milá Adrieno s Markétou Čejkovou

The exhibition Dear Adrieno... is being held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the author's birth, and its core is the collection created by the Mládek couple. Textile collages from the 1970s and cut-out drawings on layered carbon paper a decade younger are especially valuable. Although Adriena Šimotová already had several exhibitions at Museu Kampa, some exhibits will probably be a discovery even for lovers of her work. The historical collection of the Kampa Museum at the exhibition is complemented by loans from public and private collections, which show some other positions of Šimot's work. These are mainly her paintings from the early 1970s, in which she reacted to the illness and death of her husband Jiří John, or her peak late cycle, Shrouded from 2009–2010.

Markéta Čejková is an art historian who has long been devoted to Czech art of the second half of the 20th century, with a special interest in the work of female artists and their position in art history. In his professional work, he focuses, among other things, on the circuit of the group UB 12, to which Adriena Šimotová also belonged. In addition to research activity, it is also fulfilled by the popularization of art. Her enthusiasm for art is contagious during lectures and guided tours, and the listeners usually feel it quickly.
