Komentovaná vycházka po Vysočanech - z pekáren do továren

We invite you to a guided walk that reveals the history and present of one of the most important industrial areas of Prague. Vysočany is not just a symbol of ČKD - in this district there were many other factories who contributed fundamentally to its development. From there we will head to the former bakeries of Odkolek, of which some fragments have been preserved and where housing construction is currently underway. From the bakeries we will go to the former folk militia squares and remind ourselves in which in February 1990 Václav Havel came to ČKD during his visit. Then we move to the territory where the last parts of the former ČKD Electrical Engineering plant are still located. Here we mention important historical events that not only influenced the fate of local employees, but also had an impact on the whole Czechoslovak society.
