Vysočany is one of the most rapidly changing contemporary Prague districts. Not only the influx of new residents, but also the brisk construction industry are proof of the changes that are taking place.
Let's take a walk together in places that today still remind us of the famous moments of Vysočany, their ups and downs.
We will visit many already defunct buildings or those whose demise is inevitably approaching. We recall the stories associated with each stop, as well as the people associated with them. We will experience changes in the landscape and property owners and look into old maps and plans of how the neighborhood could have looked if history had gone in different directions.
In our history, the Vysočany were here from time immemorial, they lived their own lives in the present but were always looking towards the future. And what will time bring them? Perhaps we will find answers to that on the walk...

WHERE: meeting in front of the Vysočany station building
WHEN: 7.12. at 10 a.m.
The expected duration of the walk is two hours. Participation is free and there is no need to register in advance.
The walk is organized by the Municipal District of Prague 9 and the Natural History Society Darwin.
