About event
⬛️ Guided tours of the Villa Engelsmann with the owner of the villa Petra Doval
⬛️ In 1932, a private villa was built in Hlinky Street, which contrasts with its conservative concept with the modern architecture of the exhibition complex, built four years earlier in opposite position. The owner of the Villa, the Brno industrialist Felix Engelsmann, could live here for only seven years. In March 1939, he and his wife Olga had to flee from Czechoslovakia to save his life. The villa was then confiscated by the Gestapo for the needs of Nazi officers. After the end of the war, the building was nationalized by the state and shortly thereafter became the property of the first Brno engineering plant, which owned it until 2000.
⬛️ We invite you to guided tours of this unique Brno villa. The story of the original owner and the fate of the building will be presented to you by the current owner of the Villa Engelsmann Petra Doval.
