About event
We cordially invite you to a unique guided tour of the international exhibition Gray Gold: Touch with art historian Ľuba Belohradská, which focuses specifically on the post-war Slovak sculptural work of the exhibiting authors.
⚪ Gray Gold: Touch
✷ Curation: Berthold Ecker, Vendula Fremlová, Anna Vartecka
✷ Artists: Mária Balážová (SK), Lieselott Beschorner (AT) 2025 – 17 May 2026
🏛️ Mirbach Palace
The international exhibition Gray Gold: Dotyk is a continuation of the original projects Gray Gold: Czech and Slovak female artists 65+ (2014) and Gray Gold: At Hand (2017). The concept of these projects has long been linked by the effort to contribute to the discussion about the position of female artists in the wider Central European area, the ambition to thematize the connections of age, gender and creativity, and last but not least, the effort to make visible the late work of Slovak, Czech, German and Austrian female artists of the post-war generations. These are generations of female authors who anticipated, created and shaped the conditions for the gradual professionalization and emancipation of female artistic creation and helped to integrate it into Czech-Slovak and Central European art history.
🎟️ Admission: €8 / €4 discount. The ticket is available online and at the box office of Mirbach Palace
