π KOMODO (10:00 p.m.)

The group began in high school when Michael Carter, Jack Bradley and Zane Acord shared their love of rock & roll . Over the years, they honed their craft, recording themselves and writing songs influenced by '60s pioneers such as the Kinks, Grand Funk Railroad and the Nuggets compilation artists. As they progressed in skills and knowledge, the group began to consider a career inspired by Brian Jonestown Massacre, King Gizzard and The Black Keys.
The Thing began to give concerts and creating a buzz in New York City in the winter of 2022. Soon after, the band embarked on small tours on the East Coast. Their energetic stage performances have attracted the attention of honest music lovers.
Their first disc βHere's The Thingβ will be released in April 2023. It is a compilation of songs written during the band's early years. It was self-recorded and produced in the hills of Sharon, CT, continued in their Crown Heights apartment, then finished at the band's East Williamsburg studio, Onion Records. Although each environment was outfitted with modest equipment, the band's commitment to authentic recording and their passion for rock & roll is what makes the album unique.
With the release of the album and With the arrival of Lucas Ebeling on the kit, The Thing continues to tour, record new music and open a gap in the modern world of rock'n'roll.
