Komodo | Simplon

When you say Komodo you say; exotic indie rock & roll. A brew full of magical spells from all over the world, designed to make you dance day and night. Psychedelic rock peppered with non-Western sounds and unexpected instruments, delivered in a killer, high-energy live show. A bit strange, a bit raw, but the melodies will keep floating around in your head for days. Komodo broke through with the release of their debut album in 2019. Immediately afterwards they played at various prestigious festivals such as Noorderslag and Grasnapolsky. They also played at the renowned French festivals Transmusicales de Rennes and Printemps de Bourges. In March 2022, Komodo released their second album – titled Barbarians. Singles Lost Kids and Easy Prey both became hits on NPO Radio 2, Radio Veronica and 3FM, among others. Easy Prey even made it to 'Radio 2 TopSong'. The band has been working on a third album over the past year, which will be released this fall. They have traveled the world in recent months for new music. They lived in the sun-drenched Belgian Ardennes, but also in residence in the legendary Spanish beach bar El Nautico de San Vincente. It would be a shame to mine the goldmine of worldly influences only in music; the fruits of this are not only on the upcoming studio album, but will be interwoven more than ever in a renewed live show that can be seen in Simplon this fall.
